Born out of the wildly successful Arizona Way Out West & Wacky, Arizona Color Me Wacky! features 32 pages of coloring fun, while the accompanying text teaches children about the Grand Canyon State's unique animals, plants and insects.
Little ones learn fascinating facts, such as:
  • The Tarantula Hawk Wasp is powerful enough to take down a tarantula.
  • Hummingbirds can beat their wings up to 80 times per second.
  • The Antelope Jackrabbit can run in bursts of up to 50 miles per hour.
  • It's a myth that a century plant blooms only after 100 years.
  • All the names and pictures of Arizona's official state "stuff."

The delightful, yet scientifically accurate illustrations were created by multi award-winning illustrator Michael Hagelberg, who also illustrated Arizona Color Me Wacky's companion books: Arizona Way Out West & Wacky and Arizona Way Out West & Witty: Library Edition, which won 2012 ONEBOOKAZ for kids.

The engaging text was written by Arizona's most popular, award-winning children's science writer, Conrad J. Storad, and multi award-winning writer Lynda Exley. The two also co-authored Arizona Way Out West & Witty: Library Edition and Arizona Way Out West & Wacky, which is already in its second printing after only a few months on the retail market!
